Mountain Vista Estate is a major residential development by Du Val Group, situated in Māngere Bridge, Auckland. Spanning around 6,000 m², this family-oriented estate features a mix of one-bedroom apartments and approximately 180 two- to three-bedroom terraced houses.
Design Engineers Ltd was appointed to provide facade engineering services for the Mountain Vista Estate project, with a primary focus on delivering structural design and PS1 certification for the external joinery and facade systems. Our work aimed to ensure the envelope's compliance with structural, weatherproofing, and thermal performance standards.
We carried out detailed wind and seismic assessments to validate the performance of the proposed joinery systems under both Ultimate and Serviceability Limit State conditions. The team also developed structural details for fixings, flashings, and connections to ensure long-term durability and constructability.
By working collaboratively with the architectural and construction teams, Design Engineers Ltd contributed to a cost-effective, code-compliant, and visually integrated facade solution for this large-scale residential development.
